Cargill 4160 is a 100% plant-based liquid additive that can be used to soften cold-mix asphalt for road maintenance.

Its interaction with aggregate results in increased curing performance compared to other cold patch formulations. Product 4160 is 100% bio-based, with low VOCs and a high flash point.

Cargill 4160 can be added at 12% to 30% of the bitumen weight to increase its softness and workability. The addition level varies depending on the aggregate size distribution and bitumen quality, and is determined based on local technical conditions.

For safe storage of the product, containers must be properly sealed and kept at a temperature between 5 and 25°C for a maximum of 12 months.
